Dear All,

I’ve heard excellent reports about the Residential Practical at Inverell last weekend where 13 students braved the coldest weather this year to work on their counselling skills with Lois and Lynn. The next Residential will not be in the Vicarage so last weekend was the end of a short era of students living and meeting in that place. The Inverell parishioners have made us very welcome over the 2 years of these Residentials and there has been much fun, hard work (and tears) over that time.

Practicals

Students planning to attend Practicals are asked to let the Tutor know so she can plan appropriate learning experiences for you. It is very difficult for Tutors when they don’t know who or how many will be attending a Practical.

Inverell Practical/Tutorial

Lois will run another Practical weekend on

*30th September,1st, 2nd and 3rd October (Friday night—Monday) .

You will need to register by writing to Lois at PO Box 766 Inverell 2360.

This will enable the catering details to be finalised. Alternately ring Lois on Ph 6722 2279.

Tutorials in Inverell will continue on the first Saturday of each month at Lois’s place.

Moree Practical/Tutorial

Wendy has set Saturday the 31st July for practical work at Moree Anglican Counselling Centre from 9—4. Please register for this. Wendy’s contact Phone number is 6752 3419.

The planned practical on 21st August has been cancelled.

Another Practical can be negotiated if needed.

Moree Tutorials are run on the 3rd Tuesday of each month from 9 to 1 at the Centre.

Uralla Practical

Lynn will be running 2 Saturday Practicals on September 18 and October 23 from 9.30—4.00 in the Uralla Anglican Church Hall.

At present Lynn’s Tutorials are 9 to 12 on the 1st Monday each month in the Anglican Counselling Rooms in Armidale. Lynn’s can be contacted on Ph 6772 9753.

Tamworth Practical

Practicals will run on Friday night and all day Saturday from 7—10 and 9—4.30 on the following weekends:
13th 14th August,

10th 11th Sept and

8th 9th October.

The August session will cover Micro skills for the new students, as well as Emotion Inclusive and Couple work with Level 2 students.

The September session will include work on the Art, Sand, Dreams and Drama Unit.

Tutorial sessions will run from 9 to 12 on those dates as well, as the Tamworth Tutorials happen on the 2nd weekend of each month

Self Awareness Courses

Know Yourself Courses will run in the centres of Uralla and Baradine in July and October.

Requests for books, journals and periodicals are to be made to the Tamworth LRCCS Office. Phone 02 6762 5210 or Fax 6762 5740 and leave a message stating your: NAME, ADDRESS, PHONE NUMBER, BOOKTITLE, AUTHOR AND EDITION (if needed).

Judy James at Tamworth is collecting the journal articles listed in the Unit Bibliographies and these will be available soon. Copies of journal articles require the signing of a request form which you return to us to satisfy the copyright laws.
