Dear All,

Well I hope you are all at work on your study material. At the Tamworth Saturday Tutorial Christine said that the only way to get anything done is to sit down and begin: waiting for it to feel right may mean that you never start.

I was encouraged by the attendance of 14 LRCCS students at the Inservice on Self Esteem for the Counselling Service at Uralla. This demonstrated a commitment to training on your part. It also highlighted the strong connection between the Counselling Service and the Training College. This is one of the special things about the LRCCS course … students work with experienced counsellors.

The generosity of people continues to encourage me in my work with LRCCS. We have just been notified of a substantial donation to the Student Scholarship fund by an Anglican parish in the Diocese. This will enable us to offer more students assistance with fees.

Students may now apply for scholarships which will halve the cost of a unit to the student. The balance of the cost of the unit will be paid by the scholarship fund. Students may apply for scholarship help throughout the course. Application forms may be obtained via the Principal’s office. So ring, write or email to request a form.

Graduation Date

The date of the first LRCCS Graduation Ceremony is the 26th November in the Cathedral Parish Centre in Armidale at 2 p.m. Both Diplomas and Degrees will be awarded.

From the Desk

I have TWO important requests:

Please submit your assignments one at a time to give opportunity for you to receive feedback and correct mistakes.

There is a Unit Evaluation Form enclosed with this newsletter. Please complete it by reflecting on the Unit you are currently studying. Then mail it to the LRCCS PO Box. Further Evaluation Forms will be included with each Unit Book so you can tell us how you find the course.

Best wishes,

 Jenny
