I want to thank Barry Mason for being the inaugural Student Representative and for his knowledgeable contributions to the policy and procedures for the management of LRCCS. LRCCS is a growing institution. As with any growing thing there are changes as it develops. Fran has been known to answer the LRCCS office phone with the greeting “This is the office of second order change” which says a lot I think. From the DeskAs the number of students is increasing the load of marking assignments is to be redistributed. Lois will continue to mark the assignments of all students at Level 1 and those in 201 and 202 who have sent her one assignment in their current Unit. Students who have yet to send an assignment in the Unit they are studying please send them to the Office at PO Box 3052, Tamworth 2340. Next year1)25 additional hours of practical work will be required at Level 2 (a total of 75 hours). 2) At Level 3, where students elect a major strand, there will be 2 compulsory subjects (and no elective) .These will be the “Indigenous Perspectives” and “Rural and Remote” Units 3) All the Practical and Tutorial hours which students attend will be credited to them, as Practical hours will accrue to Levels not Units. As they say in NZ “It’s all good.” Jenny |
