Dear All,

The Inaugural LRCCS Graduation Ceremony was held on Saturday, 26th November.

Over 120 students, friends and dignitaries filled the Armidale Parish Centre to hear the Rt Rev Ray Smith tell the story of the beginning of the Counselling Training as a joint project between the UNE, the Anglican Church and schools.

Dr Bill Grant spoke about the achievement in having the course which was written and taught by Lois, accredited as an undergraduate degree.

After the graduates had received their Testamurs all enjoyed mingling on the lawn and a delicious afternoon tea provided by wonderful volunteers.

I am taking a break after all this busyness so will be on Norfolk Island when you read this, listening to the Jazz Sounds of Don and James

Assignment Extensions

LRCCS Units are intended to be completed in 20 weeks. Where do the 26 weeks come from?

We allow 2 weeks for the complexities of book ordering and postage and an extra 4 weeks as an extension for everyone. There are not meant to be extensions past this point and not repeated extensions on successive units.

From the Desk

Thanks to all the volunteers who have contributed so much to the running of the College this year. The Consistent Course Writers, the Loyal Librarians who quietly keep the books turning over, our Busy Book maker, the Submission Writers, the Board Members, the Tutors, the Assignment Markers the Agile Administrative workers and the Talented Typists who send out the Mountains of Messages.

You are all doing a Great Job

Best wishes for the Christmas Season and for the New Year from Lois and

Jenny
