Dear All,Well it’s busy already. Tutorials have resumed and I trust you are all studying conscientiously. It is encouraging to see the standard of work in the assignments that are submitted for marking. Gradually you all do learn to write academically. Tutorials & PracticalsDo let your Tutor know if you are attending. The closing date for booking with Lois is March 13. Lois, Wendy and I will be conducting the workshops that weekend so I look forward to seeing you there. Completion DatesLRCCS has continuous enrolments. It is part of the philosophy of LRCCS that students can study each Unit at a time which suits the demands of their lives. This means that every student has a different completion date. The completion date is the final date when the student is required to have completed and paid for all the work of the Unit. It is 26 weeks (6 months) from the starting date so students could calculate it themselves (eg 21/2—21/8). When an Application for a Unit is processed the completion date is noted in the letter which is included with the receipt to the student. The date is also noted in the student files in both electronic and paper records. It is each student’s responsibility to check that they know their completion date. If you are uncertain about the completion date for the Unit you are currently studying please ring the LRCCS Office (Ph 6762 5210) any morning. Unit Exit FormsWhen all the requirements listed on the Unit Exit Form are met the Unit Completion Certificates are sent out. These are mailed with the next “What’s It” to save postage. LibraryIn the latest PSYCHOTHERAPY journal there is an article on Attachment and Self Understanding. Jane Lepp, of the Tamworth library, has kindly photocopied it for each centre’s tutor to place in their Library. Also new is a paper on Attachment given to ACS staff by Dr Eleanor Knox (LRCCS course writer formerly with ACS). There are copies of some of the articles listed in the Units reading guides available from the Tamworth Library. AssignmentsTo help us forward your assignments to the Unit marker please put Your name , the Unit Number and the Assignment Number on the back of the envelope. E.g. M Blog 103—2 From the DeskCarol Mackerras (ACS Finance Officer) and I are working on the LRCCS Application for Fee Help for students. This is going to take some. It is unlikely that it will be up and running before 2007. Best wishes,Jenny |
