Dear All,Finally done! The rewrite of the submission for reaccreditation and registration has been mailed. It has been simmering along since August last year with many delays that were not in our control. Now its all done and posted, thank heavens. I want to particularly thank Catherine for her unstinting efforts to fine tune the Policies and the Student Handbook. Catherine, your efforts exceeded what could ever be expected, especially at this sad time for you and your family. I’d like to extend the sympathy of all the staff and students of LRCCS at the death of your father. Tutorials & PracticalsFirst 2006 Practical WeekendThe Practical weekend at Inverell was a great learning experience for the 24 LRCCS students who attended. My best memory is of the Sunday morning ‘couple counselling’ with groups of students working hard under the trees in the bright sunshine Thank you to all who helped to make us feel so welcome at Inverell. Lois for your organisation, Wendy for coming from your special time with your new grandson Hamish, David for the great hospitality and Rosemary, Barbara and Gwen for the best country cooking. Practical Evaluation FormsIf you attended the Practical you will receive an Evaluation form with this What’s It. Please fill it in and return to the LRCCS Office at PO Box 3052, Tamworth 2340.Your feed back helps us to fine tune things in the College Art Sand Dreams and Drama DayThere are 2 students currently studying A,S D&D. Attending Tutorials enhances student’s progress. Do let your Tutor know if you NOT attending. (we consider it’s that important) LibraryPlease return Library books to the centre you borrowed them from, by Post if necessary From the DeskThe Lois Reid College is part of the Anglican Counselling Service. Both are due to get a new home in Tamworth. The Anglican Diocesan Committee has approved funds for a new building now the old counselling centre is to be sold. It will be sad to leave the historical building which ACS has used for 20 years but the College will be better served by another building as we have outgrown the offices and training rooms we use. We will continue to conduct the training throughout the North West to help students get the most from their study. Best wishes,Jenny |
