Dear All,

It’s really quiet in the office at present. I assume that you are all working hard to complete assignments before the Christmas holiday break.

There are currently 41 students in the College including several new students from the 2007 Know Yourself Courses.  Welcome to the new students.  We are also loosing students as they reach the end of their studies.  Congratulations to Caroly Laurie who has completed her studies to Degree Level.

Robyn, Lois and I are working away on the resubmission to the Department of Education.  This requires, a full rewrite, the additions of some units and reorganisation of some course material in Level 3 for students who start the course next year.

Library

The College subscribes to one journal, “Psychotherapy in Australia” and we receive 4 journals per year.  These are filed in the Library in Tamworth.  They cover 3 or more years.  Each LRCCS Library has a plastic folder with photocopied contents pages of all the Psychotherapy journals we have in the Library.

Students are able to check the journal content’s page for articles that may interest them or are related to their assignments.  Photocopies of these articles may be requested by phone, fax or email to the LRCCS office.

A request form stating that the item is for private study must be completed by the student.  These forms are also in the plastic folder in the LRCCS Libraries

From the Desk

I’d just like to remind you put your Name and the Unit number and Essay number on the back of the envelope when you send your assignments to the LRCCS office.  This enables the staff to register the essay and allocate it to the appropriate marker without opening the envelope.

bulletMay 7 Dr Arch Heart—Depression
bulletMay 8 Dr Rod Cooper— Engaging Children in Play Therapy
bulletAugust 16—17 Eric Hudson _ Working with Couples using Emotion Inclusive Therapy.

There is a fee charged for student’s attendance at this training.

Best wishes,

Jenny
