Dear All,

It’s another action-packed What’s It!  Firstly, the ADACTS Annual General Meeting (AGM) is coming up on Tuesday, 9th December.  ADACTS is the governing body for the College.  If you would like to attend the AGM and have the opportunity to have a say in the future of the College now is the time to join.

Membership of ADACTS is $5 a year. If you wish to join please contact the LRCCS Office and we will send you a membership form. Please return it with your money by the 18th November. You will then be sent an invitation to the AGM.

Tutorials & Practicals

Inverell Tutorial

There has been a tutorial organised for the 22nd November. Thank you Lois for offering to do this.

Tamworth Tutorial

The next Tamworth Tutorial will be on December 13th. It will be held at 88 Bridge Street.

Armidale Tutorial

The next Armidale Tutorial will be held in 2009.

Moree Tutorial

The December Tutorial has been cancelled.

As we are currently negotiating with groups and tutors about what’s the best fit, dates for Tutorials in 2009 will be advised in the January What’s It.

Residential Dates For 2009

Weekend tutorial — March — Fri 27th (night only), Sat 28th & Sun 29th (Location to be advised)

Manilla—Weekdays during school holidays — October — Wed 14th, Thu 15th & Fri 16th.

Know Yourself Course Dates for 2009

Moree - 6 Thursdays commencing February 19th

9 am to 1.15 pm

Tamworth - 4 Tuesdays commencing March 17th

2pm to 9 pm

Dialectical Behaviour Therapy Workshop

Students are invited to attend the above workshop. Ilana Karpin will be conducting this workshop on the theory and use off Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). DBT is often used with Borderline Personality Disorder.

When: 8th and 9th December 2008

Time: 9.30 am to 4.30 pm

Where: Wests’ Diggers Club, Kable Ave TAMWORTH

Cost: $160 for LRCCS students (normally $250)

Graduation

There will be a graduation in the first half of 2009. Students who are close to completing their study and wish to graduate at that time need to be aware of this when planning their final Unit/s.

Students who commenced as Degree students who now wish to exit with a Diploma need to notify the College of their intention.
