Dear All,

Welcome back to everyone!  I hope you have all had a refreshing break over Christmas and are looking forward to another exciting year.

You may have noticed we have a new name.  We are now the College of Counselling Studies (New England/North West) Incorporated.  Our previous full legal name was Armidale Diocese Anglican Counselling Training Service Incorporated trading as Lois Reid College of Counselling Studies (phew!).  Over time you will see a new email, website address, logo and forms—as they say, it wont happen overnight but it will happen!

Scholarships — Applications open now!

It is time to get your application in for a Scholarship.  Information and the Application form are on the LRCCS website - just click on the link to the Scholarship Fund or at the Office.  Applications are assessed on the basis of student location and greatest need.  Please make sure that you provide detailed reasons for applying.  It is strongly recommended that you complete the Income and Expenditure section of the Application form.  This will assist in the assessment of applications received.

Applications need to be in by 28th February.

Internship Changes

Students can now do the required 20 sit-ins and 30 co-counselling sessions with outside organisations.  The outside organisation must be a member of PACFA or meet their standards.  The assignments for the Internship Unit remain the same.  The cost of the Internship will now be the same as all other Units as there is not the demand on ACS staff and Tutors to provide supervision and reports.  Students wanting to do all or part of the Internship with ACS must apply directly to the Executive Director, Larry Apthorpe.

Fees

Fees will rise from March 1st, 2009.  Online readers can access the new fees via this link - Fees.
