Dear All, What a wonderful graduation day it was for the 8 students who received their degrees on Saturday 12th September from the Chairman of the College Board, Mr Doug Campbell. There were also 6 students who were awarded Diplomas. Congratulations to All ! I want to acknowledge the work of Mrs Ruth Blakely and Dr Robyn Smyth and her friends who organised the venue, the flowers, the gowns and the catering. You are two stalwarts of the College. In beautiful sunshine at St Peters the students formed a wonderful picture as they cut their Graduation cake. They were watched by friends and family, including Lois, who came to celebrate with them. What suits you? We need to discuss attendance at tutorials. Be prepared with ideas. Are there better times? Evenings? Armidale Tutorial The next Tutorial with Bettina in Armidale will be November 28, 9:30am to 4:30 PM at the Diocesan Registry. Registrations should be made by calling 6772 9753 Inverell Tutorial The last Inverell tutorial for the year was held on September 19. Dates for 2010 will be announced in the next What’s It. Moree Tutorial The next tutorial in Moree will be held with Wendy on November 7 9:30 to 4:30 at the Wesley Centre on Frome Street, if numbers are sufficient. Tamworth Tutorial The next Tamworth Tutorial will be held on Saturday, 17th October, the day after the Residential. It will be held at the new ACS office, 34 Denne Street 9.00 am – 4.00 pm Please call 6762 5210 to register. Educational Opportunities - Group Leadership Day Armidale 20th October 09 The ’Group Work’ Education Day for ACS staff is open to all students of the College . The cost of the course is free. Replies should be made by 9th October by phone to 6752 3419 or email acsmoree@bigpond.com Marriage Preparation or Enrichment Leadership Training Course. This is a course for clergy or vicar-nominated couples wishing to develop tools to use in working with couples. Dates are October 29 & 30 at Moree Anglican Church Hall at a cost of $230 pp or $360 per couple. Further details from S. Kirk 6752 3419 or sharonk@acsdarm.org.au Residential Weekend in October 2009 Manilla Residential 14-16 October. Wendy, Bettina and Libby will be conducting the residential. This is a really valuable time to learn & practice skills . It will be a good time to meet both tutors and other students & exchange ideas See you there! Know Yourself Course Any friends wanting to become involved in the course? Libby Every & Barry Mason are preparing to hold a KYC in the Inverell area.
