Dear All, I want to encourage all of you to regard regular attendance at Tutorials as part of the course. Students should aim to attend 30 hours of practical work at Tutorials or Residentials each semester. Counselling skills need to be practiced regularly to ensure they stay in place. As the Counselling profession moves towards becoming a self regulating industry which is recognised by funding bodies, medical and insurance companies there are increased practical requirements for trainee counsellors. Don’t be caught short of hours! The building is to be auctioned at the end of May. We do have possession until the end of June and are seeking new premises. We will keep you informed of our progress as negotiations proceed. Residential Another residential is scheduled for Manilla for 5th to 7th of July. We hope that with this early notice, you will all set this time aside in order to attend. Jenny emphasised in the last newsletter the importance of residentials and tutorials to accumulate the required hours for practice. It is essential to attend the entire residential. And finally, registrations should be made by the deadline so that catering and accommodations can be arranged Registration form and more information to follow Friends of CCS After the success of the fund raiser at Froog Park, we have received an offer and Challenge to raise $10000 which would be duplicated by an anonymous donor. In response, we have compiled a list of Friends who have shown interest and/or donated in the past. We are also planning a sale of pre-loved art works for June 18th as described in the attached letter to help with the costs for registration. We would appreciate your help in contributing works of art ( or money) or your time and effort in organising or manning the sale. You can also publicise the sale and our need for Friends and patrons to those you feel would be interested in supporting us in this way |
