CCS offers a Diploma level Course in Counselling Studies. The course has been conducted for twenty years in the North West of NSW. It is currently not accredited.

The course is studied by distance education, and can be completed in 2 years of full-time study or 5 years part-time.  The full course involves 9 subjects, including practical subjects.  Participation in practical sessions is compulsory. It is recommended that students attend 15 -20 hours of Practical training per unit to spread the required 150 practical hours across the period of their study.

Tutorials are held in various centres around North-West NSW to provide students with a support group and  access to the college tutors as well as counselling practice which is demonstrated and supervised.     Residential Practicals of 2-3 days duration are also  run to help students meet their practical requirements.

  • At Level 1 students study four core units plus the pre-requisite awareness unit Know Yourself PART 1 (practical) and PART 2 (theory).

  • Level 2 consists of three core extension units and one elective.

There are no fixed enrolment times or exam periods at CCS.  Students are encouraged to organise their studies to fit around the busy times of their lives.  Students are allowed 20 to 26 weeks to complete each subject.
